The park is located in the eastern section of Essex County within the City of Newark.
Take I-95 South from Bergen County
Exit 14 onto I-78W (towards US-1/US-9/US-22/Newark Airport)
Bear left onto I-78 Express Westbound, and go 1.9 miles
Exit onto W Runyon Street and proceed 0.8 mile
Turn right onto Elizabeth Avenue and proceed 0.5 mile
Turn left onto Meeker Ave and proceed 0.2 miles
Turn right onto Weequahic Park Drive (opposite Empire Blvd), and bear left around the lake
Follow the Park Drive until you reach a large parking lot on the left, near an open athletic field.
We meet there to begin our walk. This is half way along the lake, well short of the golf course.
(If using GPS, follow directions to Weequahic Golf Course, which is a few hundred feet farther along the same Weequahic Park Drive).
Caution: There is another entrance to Weequahic Park (from the NW side) that does not connect to this parking lot.
